7. Runners of Louisville: Bailey Cave

Welcome back for another exciting episode of our Runners of Louisville segment. We are excited to have Bailey Cave (Davis) with us this month. Bailey has a sweet-spirit with an encouraging story of overcoming obstacles.

Bailey began running in the 2nd grade after watching her sisters participate in the sport. She enjoyed playing soccer but realized as much as she loved the sport she was more talented in running. Bailey ran for Assumption High School which is a powerhouse in women's cross country. There she won 2 individual state titles (XC 2012 & 1600 meter run) along with helping to lead the XC team to 3 state titles as well as consecutive Nike Cross Southeast Regional titles. Bailey decided to continue her running career at the University of Louisville. There she was plagued with injury but with great coaching and adapting her training she was able to compete at the highest level.

Bailey is one of the most humble people you will ever meet. She has shifted her focus some in this season of life to triathlon and is one of the coaches for Thomson Training. She has a passion for helping others develop as runners and as people. We are excited for you to be able to learn a little more about Bailey in this episode.
