Swag's Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas is quickly approaching, which means it is time to begin thinking about buying gifts for the people you love. Here at Swags we have gifts which every person will like not just walkers and runners. We have prepared for you a 10 item gift guide to help your shopping go a little more smoothly.

  1. Seat Hero -

These may look simple but they make life much easier especially if you have cloth seats. With a seat hero you no longer have to worry about your sweat or rain water soaking through a towel. These fit most car seats. Whether or not you just got back from working out or taking the dog on a muddy walk these seat covers will protect your seats. The best thing about these is you can throw them in the washer anytime to make them fresh and clean.

  2. Socks -

Socks are important and often overlooked. Whether or not you stand all day at your job or workout out often it is important to take care of your feet. By purchasing a sock with wicking properties you are saying yes to protecting your feet and no to blisters.

    • CEP

If you are doing a lot of traveling this season go for a compression sock (CEP) these will help with blood flow. These are also great for people with poor blood flow, medical issues, and people who run lots of miles.

    • Smartwool

If you are looking for a temperature radiant and odor resistant sock consider smartwool. People have a misconception of wool and think it is to keep you warm. While wool does this it also keeps your feet stay nice and dry and cool in the winter. They have men’s and women specific socks to get you ready for your next activity.

    • Swiftwick

Swiftwick makes a variety of socks from different heights to different thicknesses. The one thing they all have in common is that they are all compression socks. These are great fitness socks because you don’t have to worry about bunching, slipping, or blisters.

    • Balega

Balega are seamless and also come in a variety of styles. These socks are really soft and feel like a blanket on the foot. They don’t have any seams in them which keeps your feet from being irritated.

    • Feetures

These socks are all around a fan favorite. They have compression socks to just your every day casual sock. They will be sure to keep your feet happy.

  3. Base layer shirt (podium)-

When running it is important to keep your core warm. You can’t go wrong with getting a nice base layer shirt. It stands on its own feet on the warmer days and layers nicely on extremely cold days. This is the layer which is in direct contact with your skin.

  4. Get a Grips-

These are a lifesaver! When the weather is bad, these are great for peace of mind. Whether you are walking into work or going for a walk/run these will offer you protection from falling. They are easy to put on and take off.

  5. Flashing Light-

These clips on lights are small but don’t underestimate them because they are bright. If you are going for an early morning or late night walk/run clip one of these on you. You can never be too visible. They are also great to clip onto your furry friends leash.

  6. Nutrition-

We have everything from gu’s to powdered for liquid nutrition. This is the perfect time to purchase a variety for your running friend. Sometimes all they need is a loving push to try something new. These are great stocking stuffer ideas.

  7. Water bottle-

It's important to stay hydrated and what better way to do that than carrying a water bottle with you? The trend now is to put stickers on water bottles. This way people can see where you have traveled or what interests you.

  8. The Stick-

Ever have sore muscles but aren’t able to see your sports massage therapist? The stick and foam rollers are great alternatives to help massage your muscles. Use these you get the inflammation and lactic acid out of your body. These items are easy to transport and help after tough days of training or extended time at the office.

  9. Gloves-

There are different types of gloves and it is important to have some for cool days as well as extremely cold days. A nice versatile glove is one which has the mit and fingers. This way when its warmer you have a lighter pair but on those cold days you can untuck the mitts and keep those fingertips warm.

  10. Gift Card-

These are great gifts and range in prices. If you don’t know which shoe your gift recipient wears and they aren’t in our system we recommend a gift card. This way it takes the guessing out of the equation. We will even give you an empty shoe box to wrap it in.
