2 person teams (just like the show) compete against other similar age teams racing around a 1.5 mile trail speckled with up to 8 physical and mental team challenges. Clue cards at each station describe a task that each team must complete before continuing to race. Teams that arrive at final checkpoint with fastest times are declared the winners!

The Downtown Doubler is a 15K/30K that fits great into your fall training schedule whether you're running a half, full or a tri. 

The course starts at 7:30 a.m. and starts and finishes at the New Albany Amphitheater and runs along the scenic Ohio River Greenway.  Each loop is 15K, run the course twice to complete 30K. Enjoy views of downtown Louisville (twice if you dare!) as you run along the river.

Inspired by US Navy SEALs (Frogmen), the Navy SEAL Foundation’s Joggin’ for Frogmen Race Series brings communities and families together to jog in honor of the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.

All participants age 7 and older will run in the 5k. Following the 5k is a “Tadpole Trot” for kids ages 6 and under. All registered 5k and Tadpole participants will receive a Joggin’ for Frogmen race shirt at packet pickups. All registered 5k participants will wear a 5k bib and will receive a 5k finisher’s medal when crossing the 5k finish line. Tadpole Trotters need to register for the Tadpole Trot, but can do the 5k with their parents at no extra cost. All Tadpole Trotters will wear a Tadpole Trot bib and will receive a Tadpole Trot medal upon completion of the Tadpole Trot. Please note that while Tadpole Trotters can run in the 5k, they will not receive a 5k medal unless they have on a 5k bib, which requires additionally registering and paying for the 5k.

Now put on your running/walking shoes and enjoy an early morning with the animals at the Louisville Zoo as we raise awareness and financial resources for sarcoma research!

  • Please Note: Due to time constraints, the 5K is for runners and fast walkers. Others are welcome to participate in the 1-mile Family Fun Walk portion of the event. All participants will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the course.

  • Not a runner or walker? No problem! You can join us at the Zoo on race morning by registering as a RTCS Supporter.

  • The course is a slightly rolling 5K on walking paths that will take you past many of your favorite animals and exhibits

  • A golf cart will be available to assist anyone with impaired mobility to get from registration to the race event area.

Run/Walk: Starts at 8:00am and the course is open until 9:15am

Stay after the race to celebrate with our sarcoma survivors, enjoy refreshments, hear the announcements of our race winners and make your bids at our exciting Silent Auction!

The final Race in the 2019 Picnic Series will be the St Joe's Picnic 4  Miler. Run in beautiful Cherokee Park, the course will be challenging but fun for all.

Wild Billy's Midnight Classic (Overnight Relay)

A new overnight lap race for teams of 2 or 4. Run on the beautiful Tanglewood Golf Course traversing cross country style open fields, trail running style deep woods (spooky at night!), and everything in between! Teams will traverse 5K loops for 8 hours, with the winning teams (in each division completing the most laps. Race will begin at 8 pm and end at 4 a.m. with breakfast (and Mimosa's?) to follow. GREAT Awards and Race Swag! Throw up a campsite, grab some friends, and join us for this overnight running party! Tents will be allowed near the Start/Finish and the clubhouse will be open all night.

Awards of Male Teams - Female Teams - Coed Teams

Team captains will form the team and pay the full team fee up front. Each additional runner will register to join the team for no fee with a password created by the team captain.

PRP High School 2nd cross country and Track Team Alumni Run will be on Saturday July 27th 2019 at 8:30AM at PRP high school. It will be a 1 mile very competitive timed run and walk. The price is 20 dollars per person for advance registration and 25 dollars for day of registration. The race will be followed by a cookout and potluck lunch. Please register online and sign wavier in advance. There will be some race day registration starting at 7:00AM and ending at 755AM. We recommend advance registration online to avoid lines. There will be an overall male and female winner award and over 30 year old award. 

 You do not have to be a past PRP cross country or track runner. All PRP High school Alumni and current and past PRP teachers’ family and friends are welcome. This is also a fundraiser for PRP Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track teams. Free 2018 PRP Alumni Run t-shirt included with advance registration only! We will have a very limited supply of shirts for day of registration. Please sign up in advance online so we know how many t-shirts are needed.

It’s back this year!  The famous BACON and Pancake Breakfast following the race inside Slugger Field.  Chow down on pancakes while waiting to see if your name is drawn for a door prize and applaud the overall winners and age group winners during the Awards Ceremony.  Please note, age group awards will only be available race day at the awards ceremony so plan on sticking around!

The Urban Bourbon Ladies Nights are designed to get a group of women together to run and discuss important running topics. Our goal with these group runs is to build community and to educate on running important topics.

Midnight Climb

Night owls, come run with us on July 19! This 3.5 mile run starts at 11:59 p.m. near the gate at Uppill Road. The course continues up the hill, then circles around Iroquois Park Road and Toppill Road before coming back down the hill. Every mile will get easier! Note: every runner is REQUIRED to have a headlamp or flashlight.

Early registration (until July 13) is $15 and can be done online or at either of Swag’s Sport Shoes locations (cash/check only).

Late registration (until July 19 at 4 p.m.) may only be made at Swag’s Sport Shoes South End location. Late registration fee is $25 and payable by cash or check only.

Since it will be dark at the race start time, there will be NO registration at the race.

Hotter Than July 1/4 & 1/2 Marathon

Join us for the first ever Hotter Than July 1/4 & 1/2 Marathon to be run on the amazingly runnable Waverly Park Trail System! Choose from a 1 lap 1/4 marathon (6.55 miles) or a 2 lap half marathon option through these wonderfully underrated trails. Runners will receive a race shirt, finisher/overall awards, professional chip timing, free race photos, and a beautiful course on beginner-friendly trails.

We will be enforcing a 3:30 cutoff time (~16 minute/mile pace) for the half marathon. 

Aid Stations will be located at mile 4 (no cutoff), 6.5 (1:45 cutoff for the half), and 10 (2:40 cutoff for the half) for the half marathon and mile 4 for the 1/4 marathon. They will feature typical aid station support. This is a cupless event and runners will be expected to carry at least 12 oz of fluids for the half marathon. 

Parking will be tight so PLEASE carpool with as many fellow runners as possible.

Join us for the 12th annual OCPR Firecracker 5K  Run / 2 Mile Walk on July 6th. The race will be held at Wesport Park in Oldham County, Kentucky. The course starts and ends in the beautiful Westport Park on the Ohio River and travels out of the park on the roads around the little town of Westport Kentucky. 

 

Event details and schedule

Race starts at 8:00 am on July 6th at Westport Park.

Packet pick-up begins at 7:00 am on July 6th.

Course is run on the roads through the town of Westport Kentucky.

Overall Male and Female receive awards along with first place in several age group categories.

Race is chip timed.
