  • At Swags,

    We Fit Your

    Feet Personally.

    Our Fitting Process:

Step 1 – We start by getting to know our customers, gathering information about their intended activity and any current or recurring injuries.

Step 2 – Next, we analyze each customer’s gait by observing them walk. We also examine their current or past shoes to identify wear patterns.

Step 3 – Using the insights from Steps 1 and 2, we select the best shoes for each customer. Instead of measuring feet, we focus on finding the right fit for their feet, as shoe sizing can vary.

Step 4 – Finally, we set our customers up for success by discussing proper shoe care, average shoe lifespan, training tips, and answering any questions they have.

    Swags Tuesday Hill Repeats
Join the Swags Hill Sessions every Tuesday in September at 6:30pm near Iroquois Amphitheater! Weekly hill repeats are a great way to increase your running strength which will result in faster races. We will meet for our warm-up at 6:30pm then head to the hill. You will have two different hill distances to choose from. This should be a hard effort, but not all-out. As you approach the top, don't let up. Instead, surge over the crest of the hill. Jog back down and begin again. All uphill efforts should be at a steady 5k pace. Instead of timing each uphill effort, keep track of the total time it takes to complete the workout, from the beginning of the first uphill effort to the last jog down the hill. As fitness increases, the total time spent on the workout will decrease. We hope to see you there! September 2nd - 5-6 repeats September 9th - 5-6 repeats September 16th - 6-7 repeats September 23rd - 7-8 repeats September 30th - 7-8 repeats Sign up for text alerts so you never miss a Swags Run/Walk Club event again!

Proceeds from the race benefit the Swag Hartel Generosity Initiative, our nonprofit foundation inspired by Swag Hartel’s lifelong commitment to running and community. The Initiative supports three core areas: 1. Youth Access – Too many young athletes in our community face barriers to participation because they lack proper footwear and gear. The Initiative works to remove those barriers by providing quality running shoes and equipment directly to those who need them most. Beyond physical access, we aim to build confidence, support healthy lifestyles, and open doors to opportunity through sport. When a child has the tools to participate, it creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the track or field. 2. Community Support – The Initiative partners with the Louisville Sports Commission and other local organizations to expand access to running and wellness programs across our city. Together, we ensure community members — especially youth — are equipped with the footwear and resources needed to stay active and healthy. Our efforts focus on meeting people where they are, providing both essentials and encouragement to help them thrive. By investing in community partnerships, we strengthen the foundation of running culture in Louisville and create opportunities for more people to experience the joy of movement. 3. Global Impact – Through support of the Kenyan Kids Foundation, founded by Wesley Korir (2012 Boston Marathon Champion) and his wife Tarah, families in Kenya are empowered through education, nutrition, and sustainable farming. Wesley’s brother, John Korir, has become one of the world’s top distance runners, winning the 2024 Chicago Marathon and the 2025 Boston Marathon, further fueling awareness of their mission. Together, the Korir family uses running as a platform for lasting change, and leaders at Swags have built a unique relationship with them and their coach, Ron Mann — even spending time at the academy in Kenya to learn firsthand about their inspiring work. By participating in the Swags 10K, you’re not just starting your year strong — you’re helping make a difference locally and globally.
