Saturday, August 20
The Moonlight Mile is a series of races along a beautiful one-mile course along historic Southern Parkway. Runners will line up at Southern Parkway and Burkley Avenue, run south one-half mile where the course changes to a northern route, and returns to the finish line. Runners start with and compete with those in their own age group. Special events have been added to the schedule, including:
Patriotic Mile: 8:10 p.m.
All area military personnel, firefighters, police officers, Sheriff’s Department employees, EMS employees, nurses, and doctors, are invited to participate in this one-mile run. Awards will be presented to first, second and third place male and female.
Western Kentucky Alumni 1 Mile Run: 8:20 p.m.
A beautiful one-mile course along historic Southern Parkway is the location for students, faculty, and alumni of Western Kentucky University. Wear your WKU shirt and bring a friend.
Wheelchair/Handcyle 1 Mile Race: 8:30 p.m.
