There will be 5 waves (100 participants max per wave) beginning at 9:00am and running every 15 minutes. The final wave at 10:00am is the Family Wave. The Family Wave is open to youth ages 7 - 15 accompanied by at least one family member/guardian aged 16+.

Grab all of your coworkers and freinds to make up a team. Receive 1 free entry for every 10 participants on your team.

The Course
Come take on this 5K course with 20 obstacles that will challenge you physically as you traverse over walls and through the mud to the finish line. Course is comprised of a combination of surfaces (asphalt, grass and mud).

After Party
Join your friends, family, and other mudders at the After Party to recount your challenge. Grab some needed grub at one of the food trucks. Relax and listen or dance to music provided by DJ Tim.  The party area opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 1:00 p.m.

  • Day of Registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:30 am.

  • Bring a change of clothes with you.

  • Showers will be available to clean up after race.

  • After Party begins at 9:30 am and closes at 1:00 pm.

Come out June 29, 2019 and enter into the underground approximately one mile into the race. There you will find good lighting, good temperature, sure footing, and fast flat terrain. A destination race that will offer major relief from the hot summer and a scene like none other.

From Louisville: Head west on I-64 take exit 118 Georgetown. Turn Right onto Highway 64 and follow for 25 miles. School will be on your left.

From Evansville: Head east on I-64 to exit 92 Carefree. Turn left onto highway 66. Follow for approximately 10 miles. Turn right on Highway 64. School is on your right.

Join us for the 12th annual OCPR Firecracker 5K  Run / 2 Mile Walk on July 6th. The race will be held at Wesport Park in Oldham County, Kentucky. The course starts and ends in the beautiful Westport Park on the Ohio River and travels out of the park on the roads around the little town of Westport Kentucky. 

 

Event details and schedule

Race starts at 8:00 am on July 6th at Westport Park.

Packet pick-up begins at 7:00 am on July 6th.

Course is run on the roads through the town of Westport Kentucky.

Overall Male and Female receive awards along with first place in several age group categories.

Race is chip timed.

Join us on Tuesday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. for this fun 5k! Poker cards will be handed out along the course in Iroquois Park, and prizes will go to the winning hands.

The final Race in the 2019 Picnic Series will be the St Joe's Picnic 4  Miler. Run in beautiful Cherokee Park, the course will be challenging but fun for all.

All finishers (and virtual runners) will receive a quality race tee shirt along with a finish medal that resembles a spinning wheel of chance. All present will also have a chance to be selected as one of 6 "Golden Tickets", each of which will have a chance to win $100. The five non-winners will then go on (along with the same group(s) from the other Picnic Series races to win a "Runners Goody Basket".

Join us for the 8th running bg26.2 & half marathon in a race against Multiple Sclerosis. The Boston Marathon qualifying USATF certified course (13.1 mile loop) starts at the Bowling Green Ball Park and runs through historic downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky and the beautiful WKU campus. (Marathoners will run the Boston Marathon qualifying course twice.) Runners will finish at the Bowling Green Ball Park.

The 5th annual Oldham County Parks and Recreation Earth Day 5K Trail Run/Walk at the Morgan Conservation Park is on April 20th. The 5K course will take you on the wooded nature trails of the Morgan Conservation Park. The course will challenge you with serveral hills and 4 stream crossings. Awards will be given in a variety of age groups for the runners.

Chip timed

There are four distances to choose from; 50 mile, 60KM, Marathon, and 23KM. They all begin together, along the shoreline of beautiful Kentucky Lake, and proceed about 2 miles to the fabulous Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, and the trail head. The Canal Loop is an 11.3 mile,  mostly single-track, nicely packed dirt track consisting of rolling hills on the Lake Barkley side of the course, and larger hills on the Kentucky Lake side. The course yields spectacular views of both lakes, and is very runnable. 

Sorry, DOGS are not allowed to run or walk with any participant.

Listen up ladies, this event is for you!

This is the first Ladies Night of the year. Our goal is to meet with other women from the community, take some time from our busy schedules, and meet to discuss important topics. This night we are talking about the importance of quality sports bras. We will have a Brooks Representative talk about the difference in sport bras, Brooks will also provide bras for trying on and GOODIE bags! We will have a GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY and free exclusive Swag t-shirts.
There will be a local artist there displaying her work and offering a giveaway! We will also provide snacks and drinks.
